We believe that everyone involved in the early years sector should be given the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge, gain qualifications and advance their career.
A career in childcare is not always easy. It can definitely be challenging, but as our learners have shared with us, it is deeply fulfilling knowing you are giving our youngest children the best possible start in life through the valued work that you do.
To support you on your journey in the early years sector, we offer high quality training to provide you with the vital knowledge and essential skills to perform at your finest.
The Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 states: “Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances.”
We couldn’t agree more.
Training specifically for you
We provide flexible, online, distance learning, classroom and work-based fully accredited training opportunities at introductory to advanced levels. This offers learners a range of education options depending on their lifestyle and commitments with courses and qualifications covering a range of learning areas, including childcare and education.
To show our commitment to improving professional skills and training for childcare providers, we offer a qualifications programme with career progression routes for work in childcare from the Entry and Level 1 Skills for Employment to the qualifications for the workplace at Level 2 and Level 3. Leadership and Management qualifications are available at Level 3.
We offer professional development opportunities to give everyone a chance to broaden their knowledge and skills, and to keep informed with latest practice and policy. Special workshops allow focused discussion and are tailored to meet the needs of childcare teams, managers and committee members. Significantly, Ofsted inspectors observed that Alliance learners improve their employment prospects, develop strong vocational skills and gain confidence with dedicated support provided by our tutors.
Good training begins with clear information and advice about the best career journey for you. Our advisors and tutors are here to help you to choose the right training. You will receive straightforward information about how to enrol, the fees and funding opportunities. You will be fully briefed about your study, the expectations of the course, and what support is available.
For more information on our training courses, apprenticeship programmes or any other aspect of training or workforce development please contact the Alliance’s Training Centre by email email@example.com or by telephone 01732 363070
Free online training is also available to Alliance members through our partnership with EduCare. This offer is available to all providers, early years managers and their staff. Find out more here.
The Alliance has sub-contracting arrangements with other training providers in order to broaden and enrich its offer to members and the public. Subcontracting partners will have a strong record of success, and share the ethos and values of the organisation, in particular in their commitment to learners, and their personal and professional development, and to the Alliance’s learning communities.
This document aims to provide clear information about Subcontracting Fees and Charging Policy that will be used when the Pre-school Learning Alliance works with subcontractors that deliver funded training and qualifications on behalf of the Charity.
