Local MP Ian Liddell-Grainger, will be joining staff, parents and children at the open day for the Pre-school Learning Alliance's Neighbourhood Nursery in Williton on Friday 14th October at 10am. This will be part of a fun day being held at the nursery.
Little Horseshoes Neighbourhood Nursery is the first Pre-school Learning Alliance nursery in Somerset. This brand new nursery meets the needs of local parents in providing flexible, affordable, high quality daycare that enables them to work or train according to need.
The nursery is housed over two sites, one part for children from 0-3 years within the Sure Start Children's Centre, the other in St Peter's First School for pre-school children of 3-5 years. The nursery offers young children the chance to learn through play in a stimulating and nurturing environment. It also provides a facility for parents to get to know other people and to drop in for advice and social opportunities.
In honour of the day, Mr Liddell-Grainger will be taken to the two nursery sites. The first site in Doniford Road, at St Peter's First School, at 10am-10.30am to cut a ribbon and then on to the new nursery building at 10.40am to cut a cake. Parents and children will be invited to the fun day, where they will be able to see what the nursery has to offer and view the children's work.
Ian Liddell-Grainger MP for Bridgwater, said:
"I am looking forward to officially marking the opening of Little Horseshoes Neighbourhood Nursery. Parents and children need good quality, flexible, affordable childcare, combined with adult learning and social opportunities. This nursery will be of great benefit to the community."
