Alliance commments on election pledge
On the day that the Labour Party included childcare among its key election pledges, Steve Alexander, Chief Executive of Pre-school Learning Alliance said:
"We welcome the Labour Party's commitment to childcare and urge all parties to keep the issue high on the political agenda. "All parties must ensure that the childcare system offers real choice to parents, is affordable and offers parents the chance to be fully involved in their children's education. It is crucial that investment is targeted not just at children, but also in the people that provide their care to build a workforce to deliver the ambitious vision of universal childcare”.
