Partnerships with parents – Pre-school Learning Alliance national conference
The Pre-school Learning Alliance’s annual conference, exhibition and AGM will take place on Friday 29 June at the Novotel London West Hotel and Convention Centre, Hammersmith.
The theme for this year’s conference, partnerships with parents, reflects the Alliance’s long history of recognising parents as their children’s most important educators and of actively involving parents in early years settings.
The Rt Honourable Beverley Hughes MP, Minister for Children and Families, will be giving the keynote speech speaking on the government’s commitment to supporting parents.
The minister will be followed by:
- Paul Ennals, Chief Executive of the NCB, lead partner Strand 3 of the Early Learning Partnership Project
- Steve Alexander, Chief Executive of the Pre-school Learning Alliance
- Floella Benjamin OBE, renowned children’s TV presenter, patron of several children’s charities, television producer and businesswoman
The national conference is open to Alliance members and non-members and will be of particular interest to childcare practitioners delivering and running early years services.
The conference takes place from 09.30-17.30. Price for non members is £176.25 (inclusive of VAT). For further information or to book a place please call 020 7697 2576 or go to www.pre-school.org.uk.
