Research findings will provide "additional reassurance for parents"
Commenting on research findings published today by the Effective Provision of Pre-school Education (EPPE) project, Pre-school Learning Alliance Chief Executive Steve Alexander said:
"I welcome the report's recognition of the impact of pre-schools and nurseries on child development in the crucial early years. For parents accessing childcare services, the report will provide additional reassurance that their children are being looked after in a safe and stimulating environment."
"It is vital that families continue to have choice in childcare. Maintaining diverse provision, including parent and toddler groups, session-based pre-schools and day nurseries will help to ensure flexible services that meet the needs of parents and their children".
