The Pre‑school Learning Alliance is the largest educational charity in the country providing pre‑school care and education for over 800,000 children and their families. At local level branches provide a wide range of training courses, a toy library service for all pre‑school provisions and parents, advice and support to parents, pre‑schools, and those who work with pre‑school children. We also provide a friendly, safe and stimulating mobile creche for children aged 0 to 5 years, on a regular basis or as a one off.

At Milton Keynes we have Pre‑School Development Workers who undertake regular visits to voluntary pre‑schools to provide support and advice on effective management and the day care standards. Telephone support and advice is available along with training advice.

They provide support on the expansion of existing groups and the establishment of new groups.

Development Workers also provide Accreditation Mentoring.
