As the Pre-school Learning Alliance is the largest single provider of early years education in England, our expertise allows us to offer our member groups an insurance package specifically tailored to meet your needs.
This gives you the peace of mind to operate successfully, knowing your staff, children and equipment are protected in the best possible manner.
We have worked in partnership with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance for over 30 years to bring our members the highest quality cover available. This relationship has ensured that the insurance package is constantly reviewed and updated to offer the widest protection in the changing early years sector.
We understand how stretched budgets can be for early years settings, and with this in mind we have developed a number of options with varying amounts of cover.
The Pre-school Learning Alliance insurance team are happy to offer advice and guidance to all our members.
What is covered?
The core cover for all our policies includes (as a minimum):
- Employers Liability (£10m)
- Public Liability (£2m)
- Personal accident (£20,000)*
- Group money (£750)*
- Personal possessions (£300)*
- Personal money (£150)*
- Group equipment (£5,000)*
- Legal expenses (£50,000)*
- Loss of Revenue (£50,000)*(£100,000 for cover 5)
There are many extensions available to the core cover including:
- Extended computer cover
- Additional Public Liability cover
- Professional Indemnity
- Trustee Indemnity
- Holiday club
- Out of School club
The following policy extensions are available on all insurance products without additional cost†:
- Outings & Fundraising
- Bouncy castles
- Children up to the age of 12
- £1000 for items in transit
- Volunteers, work experience and helpers
- Children with special educational needs automatically included
- Medication administration
- Misappropriation of funds
- Tenants improvements (£600)
- Sheds
- Theft of outside play equipment
- Holiday clubs at the usual premises
- Replacement as new cover for contents and equipment
- Opening up and clearing away times
Cover can be organised to commence the same day and if the standard products do not suit your group, we may be able to obtain a tailored quotation from the insurers.
All insurance is subject to the group meeting Ofsted registration requirements. Cover is only available to members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance.
Cover starts from as little as £40.31 for an annual policy.
