Parent Partnership service

We can offer you advice, information and support.

Every local authority has a duty to make arrangement for Parent Partnership Services in order to support families of children aged 0-19 years with special educational needs. Lewisham LEA has contracted out the service to the Pre-School Learning Alliance — Lewisham Branch.

The aim of our PPS here in Lewisham is to ensure parents of children with special educational needs aged up to 19 have access to information, advice and guidance that support them in making informed and appropriate decisions about their child's education.

We give information on the SEN process and help parents access relevant services and support from statutory and voluntary agencies and support groups.

We produce a termly free Newsletter giving information on workshops, support groups, events and resources available in the local area. If you would like to join our mailing list please use the email link below.

The PPS is managed by the Pre-School Learning Alliance — Lewisham Branch and the PPS service comprises of a Team of 3 – Sue Cordingley (Senior PPS Officer), Jennifer Becon (PPS Officer) and Teresa Weller (Admin Assistant), All staff work part-time, but we have a 24 hour answerphone service and aim to return your call within 48 hours of receipt.
