As a subcommittee of the national Pre-school Learning Alliance, we support 400 members in Hertfordshire including pre-schools, day nurseries, toddler groups, nursery schools and individual members.
Our Executive Committee of ten volunteers meet half-termly to discuss early years issues and priorities of our members. These volunteers are elected from the five branch subcommittees at our Annual General Meeting in October.
Our contract with Young in Herts is to:
- Promote, encourage and support pre-schools to develop flexible provision
- Support settings with sustainability and business issues
- Provide support for management committees
- promote the marketing of pre-schools
- Support pre-schools to engage actively with providers and partners within their children's centre community
- Encourage parents participation in their child's learning
