Does the Alliance have an accreditation scheme?

The Alliance provides an accreditation scheme called Aiming for Quality. Aiming for Quality achieved Investors in Children status in 2004 and is now mapped againist Quality Improvement Principles developed by the National Children's Bureau (NCB) in partnership with the Alliance and other recognised assurance providers.  The scheme puts children and parents/carers first and enables teams to deliver a child-focused service which recognises parent's important role in the child's early learning and development.

Practice guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) states "all providers should continuously think how to improve what they are offering to children and families."  By joining and successfully completing our scheme, settings can clearly demonstrate their commitment to providing children with the best possible start in life.
