Nursery Assistant (North End Childrens Centre)
Salary: £11,003 - £11,419 p.a. (£5.29- £5.49 p.h.) plus £2,570 London Weighting (40 hours/week)

Nursery Assistant (unqualified) (West Street Neighbourhood Nursery Bexley)
Salary: £5.78 per hour plus £1.24 per hour London Weighting

We are looking to establish a list of approved bank staff for our nursery. Bank staff will be called upon to cover staff shortages when they arise, although there are no guaranteed hours of work.
You will need to have some experience of working with children. The role requires a criminal records check.
As a bank worker you will be responsible for the provision of care and appropriate learning opportunities for children in the nursery and will supervise the children and protect them from dangerous or harmful situations.

You will take responsibility for the provision of care and appropriate learning opportunities for children in the nursery. You will supervise the children and protect them from dangerous or harmful situations and liaise daily with their parents/carers providing them with a daily activity record.

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and healthy kitchen environment and preparing and serving nutritional meals to children and adults. You will regulate kitchen stock control and ensure that specific dietary requirements are met.
You will need a current Food Hygiene Certificate and a current First Aid Certificate plus the ability to organise, plan and cook nutritious meals. You will also need an awareness of food allergies and health and safety issues.

You will oversee the nursery to ensure the nursery team delivers high quality full day care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. You will also work with your team to offer a range of services to support parents.

Area Manager (London)
Salary: £27,492 - £31,653 p.a. plus £500 Essential Car User. London Weighting of £2,570 p.a. will apply to some of the positions (35 hours/week)

The appointed applicants will manage and direct several staff within defined geographical areas. Also lead on development, marketing and delivery of the initiatives, policies and practice of the Alliance, including training, quality assurance, workforce development, direct service provision and volunteer strategy within their areas. There will be a requirement to represent and support service areas in discussions with potential funders and secure sources of funding for all areas of activity.
Proven experience of effective management and coordination of staff, settings targets, conducting appraisals and managing performance are essential. Post holders will also need experience of marketing products and services successfully, securing funding contracts, operational planning, budget setting management and reporting.
