Alliance Baby and Toddler Groups

Groups and sessions where parents or carers attend with their children are an increasingly popular form of childcare. They offer an environment where children from the earliest ages and adults can socialise, learn and have fun.

The variety and range of different groups that fall within this type of provision is vast. Groups range from small informal meetings to large businesses employing great numbers of staff.

Across the country, the Pre-school Learning Alliance supports and runs many thousands of such groups and the resources published on these pages are tools to help those involved to manage and improve the quality of the services offered to children, and parents and carers.

Those already involved with baby and toddler groups will know that the ages and needs of children attending their sessions vary enormously. As a result some of the resources available may meet the particular needs of some more than others. Please feel free to choose, use and amend any of these resources to better meet the needs of your group.
